The forthcoming green deal is aimed to target poorly insulated homes in the UK. Several options will be available under the scheme which will be rolled out in 2012. The proposals state that financing home and business property for the installation of insulation improvements will be made by the offset in costs saved from energy bills. The landlord housing sector will be most affected, as many rented homes would benefit from additional loft, floor, cavity wall, or solid wall insulation to improve energy ratings. The scheme will be administered by "Green" home energy advisers who will be qualified to undertake surveys for homes and businesses and recommend improvements in insulation.
